#LateBookReview: Roses are Blood Red by Novoneel Chakroborty

Can you spend your entire life loving only one person? Can you embark on a journey in seeking this love life long?
Novoneel Chakroborty’s latest romantic thriller Roses are Blood Red spun on the premise of unrequited love and pushing the limits to find it. It was my last read of 2019 and closed the year with a bang.

Vanav Thakur, the protagonist of the novel is a romantic, responsible and a caring person who never objectifies women. He is everything a girl yearns.
Aarisha Shergill is the love of his life but she is in love with his cousin Daksh.
Vanav’s life gets ripped apart when she breaks all ties with him and ends up settling in an arranged marriage after being betrayed by Daksh and eventually dies in a car accident.
Sadness, anger and frustration envelopes Vanav’s life and he embarks on a journey of challenging the law of nature and finding his love.
Does he succeed? Does Vanav finally get united with Aarisha and lives happily ever after. Can death be also reversed?

As usual Novoneel has shown his magic in weaving this beautiful dark romantic thriller.
Though I am not a succour of romance but it was a completely unputdownable read for me. The book is heavily laden with beautiful philosophy and excerpts which will leave an imprint in your heart. The language is quite poetic and I loved the way the mystery was unravelled.
